Research Interest
My primary research interests are at the intersection of health behavior change and social interaction design in the field of human-computer interaction. Specifically, I am interested in applying for social support as a source for designing health IT service for health promotion. I seek to understand how social support influences users’ health behavior change through IT services focusing on different social channels, mediator’s role, and social interaction from user-mediator’s social activities. I expect that health behavior change using social support has its high extensibility in IT services field. Through applying the result of this research, health services can be designed with various social features, rich social interaction quality, and structures according to their own purposes and strategies and it will provide sustainable and social health IT services.
